PRINT SIZES
After careful consideration, I’ve settled on three print sizes closely related to A0+, A0, and A1 paper sizes, serving as reliable benchmarks for comparison. While not exact matches, these paper sizes provide a useful frame of reference

LANDSCAPE

The three sizes are primarily determined by their shorter length, recognizing the variability of images. With a focus on accuracy, the shorter dimension serves as the closest primary measurement.
Additionally, to accommodate framing, signing, and numbering, all prints feature a consistent white border: 4 cm along the top and sides, and 5 cm at the bottom. This standardized border ensures uniformity across size options and orientations, maintaining aesthetic integrity and practicality for display. So whether opting for the grandeur of a larger piece or the intimacy of something smaller - the dimensions of your print are thoughtfully crafted and ready to enhance your space.
PAPER DETAILS
Fuji Crystal Archive C Type Paper
Fuji Crystal archive paper with a semi-matt finish. The paper is coated with a slightly stippled texture giving a very natural photographic finish with subtle colour. Great versatile paper, very natural and works well with all photographic images. Maintains colours in a very natural way, giving a detailed, 3-dimensional beautiful photographic reproduction. Our most popular choice.
Hahnemühle Giclée paper
The super matt finish of Hahnemüle Photorag makes this paper one of our most popular papers amongst artists, illustrators & photographers alike. The paper gives muted blacks with even colour reproduction, and excellent detail. The surface has minimal texture with a chalky smooth cotton feel which creates smooth colour gradients. It has a delicate surface, so we recommend extra care when handling. Photorag is suitable for mounting but its cotton texture means edges can fray if not carefully handled.

PRINTING DETAILS
1. C-type digital photo printing
The highest-quality prints for photography. Silver-based Digital C-type prints are archival photographic prints.
A digital C Type is a traditional photographic print, made from a digital file rather than a negative. The process is controlled from a computer and the paper is exposed using lasers or LEDs rather than a bulb. The second part of the traditional process is much the same however: the paper is processed in a photographic developer, followed by bleach fix before being washed to remove the processing chemicals. Correctly framed and cared for the print has a life span of over 100 years.
2. Giclée
Giclée is a French term for “to spray”. It references the process that an inkjet printer uses to reproduce fine art or photography to create individual copies of the original piece. It is important to note that not all inkjet prints are giclée prints. With giclée printing, you can expect a higher quality product that lasts longer than your run-of-the-mill inkjet prints and there are certain criteria that must be met for a print to be considered a giclée.
Giclée prints will be archival, which means that they'll last for over 100 years. It will retain its quality during your lifetime and the lifetime of your clients. {Giclée printers use a higher quality of fade-resistant, archival, pigment-based inks. When applied to high quality archival substrates, like, for example, the Hahnemühle cotton-based, acid free Rag papers we use at theprintspace, this results in an unbeatable archival lifespan of up to 200 years.}

- the premium being anti-reflective art glass. This is museum grade and gives an invisible finish.
- Extra protection can be also be added, with UV resistant glass. This is recomended to protect and extend the life of your print as well as glare free viewing pleasure.
- Beyond the aforementioned benefits, art print plexiglass is another great option it is generally a very durable material, that will not crack and break as heavy glass does. It is lighter and safer. (For caring and cleaning, do not use sprays specific for glass or dry cloths as they will damage the acrylic surface.)
Tips for Handling Photographic Prints For You And Your Framer
-
Your print should be handled gently and infrequently. Before picking up your print, assure your hands are freshly washed. Have a clean, clear space prepared to place the originals before you get them out.
-
Don't eat, drink, or smoke around originals.
-
Wash hands before handling paper and don't apply lotion as it can stain paper. ...
-
Handle photographic prints with cotton gloves. Your ungloved fingers should never touch the print. Use both hands and make sure the back of the print is supported so it does not bend.
-
To remove dust and other particles from the print, we recommend compressed air as a safe option.
-
Keep your prints out of excessively moist or hot environments. Avoid hanging in direct sunlight as this causes color fading over time.
